Level 1 – Support Connection

This level is perfect if you’re new to the NDIS or feeling unsure about where to start.

We’ll sit down with you, go through your plan in plain language, and help you understand what it can actually be used for. Then we’ll help you find the right services and get everything set up so your supports can start working for you.

Level 1 is about helping you feel confident to take the next steps on your own — knowing who to contact, what to ask for, and how to use your plan.

Level 2 – Support Coordination

This level is for people who want ongoing support to manage their plan and their services and the most common support level.

We’ll be there regularly to check in, help organise your supports, and step in when things aren’t going right. If a provider isn’t the right fit, we help you find a better one. If something changes in your life, we help adjust your supports to match.

Level 2 is about making sure your plan is actually helping you or your child live the life you deserve— not just sitting there unused.

Level 3 – Specialist Support Coordination

This level is for people who are dealing with more complex situations or going through a really tough time.

We work closely with you and the other services in your life to bring everything together — especially when things feel overwhelming, unsafe, or unstable. We help manage crises, big changes, and complicated systems, and we advocate strongly for what you need.

Level 3 is about standing beside you when things are hard and helping you and your family move toward stability, safety, and the right long-term supports.

Training for Parents and Carers

We believe families should learn to feel confident and capable in managing their own supports. Our training is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to coordinate supports yourself — reducing or even removing the need for a dedicated Support Coordinator over time.

We aim to teach you how to:

  • Understand and manage your NDIS plan

  • Find, choose, and communicate with providers

  • Organise supports and appointments

  • Problem-solve when things go wrong

  • Prepare for reviews and changes

Our training is practical, easy to understand, and based on real-life experience. The goal is not to make things complicated — it’s to give you the tools to feel confident, in control, and supported in managing your family’s NDIS journey your way.

Training and Advice for other Support Coordinators

At MIM Supports, we believe that better outcomes for participants start with better-supported support coordinators. That’s why we also offer training, mentoring, and practical advice for other support coordinators who want to grow their skills and confidence.

Our training is built on real-world experience — not theory alone. We share what actually works, what we’ve learned through lived experience, and how to navigate the system with empathy, professionalism, and strong advocacy.

We support other coordinators with:

  • Understanding the NDIS in real-life situations

  • Managing complex cases with confidence

  • Communication and relationship-building

  • Ethical, participant-first practice

  • Preventing burnout and building resilience

By helping Support Coordinators do their job well, we’re working to lift the standard of care across the whole industry — so participants and families everywhere get the support they deserve.
